We had to get up at o dark o clock to catch the train from Basel to Frankfurt. It was hard to get the reservations for this leg of our next adventure and we had to leave at about 6:30 am.
We had about a 3 1/2 hr layover in Frankfurt before catching the train to Vienna.
After a long day on the train we had to transfer for another 1 hr ride to Bratislava. Upon arriving in Bratislava we caught a taxi to find our Airbnb. We found the house but they knew nothing about Airbnb and didn't expect any guests. I then found the first Holiday Inn I could find which was the Crown Royal and they fortunately had a couple of rooms. After a stiff drink in the bar we crashed around midnight. I did get a hold of Airbnb who gave me a full refund with a $100 credit toward my next Airbnb reservation.
